Humble Beginnings

Jason Agnew is a Canadian media personality with a background in television and radio production. A graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University’s (formerly Ryerson) Radio and Television Arts program, he began his career in broadcasting as a technical producer at The FAN 590.

After graduating, Jason simultaneously landed a position as the host and producer of Global Television’s BANG TV; a guy-geared weekly look at the world of music and extreme sports.

Jack of All Trades

A few years later, Jason would become Executive Producer duties and become the primary on-air personality of BITE Television, Canada’s first short-form comedy TV channel.  In 2007 BITE won an Emmy for Outstanding Interactive Channel.

It was at BITE that Jason created, produced and co-hosted The Conventioneers with comedy partner Matt Chin.  The show ran for 7 seasons, 100+ episodes.  Jason and Matt would then be recruited to host Nickelodeon & YTV youth competition show SPLATALOT!

Jason has also hosted several national Canadian Game Shows including Brain Battle, PopQ, Time Shift Trivia, Door to Door and most recently the revival of the iconic Canadian youth showcase Tiny Talent Time.
